People in the core of the VR industry at places like the offices of Unity and Epic Games have been using XR to mean both AR and VR for a long time. Mixed Reality means something different depending on which company is talking about it, and Microsoft Mixed Reality headsets are only VR they do not do AR. Mixed Reality also evokes Mixed Reality Green Screen, so it’s not as useful as XR. Good try though!
