Thank you for your interest in Windows Mixed Reality. We are giving developers the opportunity to work with us on building Mixed Reality experiences that also leverage AI technologies from Microsoft, including Face, Custom Vision, LUIS and Translation.

Space is limited; if you are interested in participating, please contact MRDEEvents@microsoft.com.

As a part of this hackfest you will:

  • Hear from Product Engineering and Microsoft Commercial Software Engineers on Windows Mixed Reality and AI

  • Code using labs designed for Mixed Reality and AI scenarios

  • Code side-by-side with Microsoft engineers to realize the possibilities.

  • Attend an envisioning session with the product and account teams to discuss the opportunity with mixed reality and create a high-level view of objectives and goals for next steps.

To make most of that week, it is important to be prepared for the event:

  • Assign 2–3 developers from your team, maximum.

  • Define clear scenarios/problems to work on. The more detailed your scenarios, the more likely we will be able to go deeper on them and prototype real code with your teams.

  • Familiarize yourself with the fundamentals of mixed reality development.

  • Install the development tools on your PC, if you are bringing your own development PC.

A detailed agenda will be shared prior to the event. We recommend arriving the evening of Sunday, February 11, 2018 as we will begin at 9:00AM on Monday, February 12, 2018. We plan to end the day on Thursday, February 15, 2018 by 4pm, so you have an opportunity to catch an evening flight home.

Next Steps:

The first requirement in participating in the hack is to participate in a scoping call to ensure you get the most out of the week and the event meets your expectations. To set up a scoping call, please email MRDEEvents@microsoft.com.

Thank you for your partnership.

The Windows Mixed Reality Evangelism Team.
